 One of the best-edited boutiques I’ve ever found. It’s impossible for me to walk into this store and not buy anything. I shop so much here the owner ended up carrying Saffron James Parfums and putting in a fragrance bar.

 As soon as I walked into this boutique, I knew I had to meet the owner. The eclectic, must-have feather hair accessories by Kittin Hawk and the giant tub of my favorite Claus Porto soaps only confirmed our impending friendship. When I need a gift, this is the only place I go.

Hidden in the middle of the Presidio, it’s impossible to find (even if you know where you are going). You walk through the doors of this old military building and you gasp (just a little) because suddenly you’re standing in the middle of a stunning, modern day spa. Do yourself a favor and get the hot-stone massage.

SOLAGE CALISTOGA SPA

 This eco-friendly spa in Calistoga is so sublime, I ended up buying the products stocked in their shower. Sumbody is a line made specially for the spa (in nearby Sebastopol) that uses all natural and organic ingredients. The Cleanse Body Wash is so addictive, it has taken the place of my morning coffee ritual
